John - I am following up on the email Tom sent on Tuesday, because I found a few more statistics I wanted to share. The average American adult spends $1,200 on prescription drugs per year. This is not the cost of innovation. Too many pharmaceutical companies are increasing the costs of drugs we already take - just because they can. Over $1,000. For necessary medication. This is outrageous. Sign our petition right now telling Congress you’ve had enough - they must act NOW to lower the costs of prescription drugs. This affects everyone - not just those who are uninsured. In 2016, 14% of Americans with insurance skipped their prescriptions because costs were too high. This has to stop - tell Congress to take action.
