Send an email to tell the Trump administration: Stop selling out our National Parks!

The Interior Department’s “Made in America” Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee -- a vehicle for special interests and private industry within Interior -- has just proposed a set of recommendations to begin PRIVATIZING America’s national parks!

They want to jack up park fees, cut senior discounts, and privatize campgrounds in order to fill the pockets of Trump donors who stand to benefit from lucrative contracts. Private industry and corporate concessionaires have been pushing this for a long time, and now they have a willing ally in former lobbyist and current Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

We need to raise our voices and make it clear the American people won’t put up with their corruption. Will you send an email to Interior’s “Made in America” Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee and tell them you OPPOSE their plan to start privatizing our national parks?

Their scheme means one thing: the park-going public’s money will go to connected special interests and campaign donors instead of supporting the parks themselves. Just take a look at who sits on the “Made in America” committee:

  • Jerry Jacobs Jr. is co-CEO of foodservice and concessionaire company Delaware North. His family donated at least $167,700 to Trump’s campaigns and committees.

  • Derrick Crandall’s name was color-coded for conflicts of interest when officials were selecting who would serve on the panel, due to his ties to private concessionaires.

  • Bruce Fears is the head of ARAMARK. They’ve worked for years to expand private corporate interests within the National Park Services.

And those are just a few examples. This committee is stacked with industry insiders, and it’s clear this is Bernhardt and the Trump administration’s latest attempt to rip public lands out of public hands.

We’re working hard to make sure they don’t get away with it, and we need to show Interior that the American people do NOT approve. Send an email to the “Made in America” Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee and tell them to stop selling out our national parks!
