Friend,

Did you hear President Biden’s speech in Atlanta today? He traveled to the cradle of the civil rights movement to outline the urgent need to protect our constitutional right to vote and the integrity of our elections.

The President is absolutely right. We’re running out of time to protect voting rights. Add your name for our petition calling for voting reform.[[link removed]]

There’s no question that our democracy is under threat. One year ago, armed insurrectionists launched a deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol. The former president and his cronies are still spreading lies about the integrity of our elections and initiating sham audits. Republican legislatures across the country are passing dangerous restrictions on the right to vote that disproportionately target Black, Latino, and Indigenous people.

One of my top priorities this year is advocating for voting reform. We need legislative action to prevent election sabotage and protect the freedom to vote. The Senate cannot let anything stand in the way of voting rights protections. It’s time the Senate passes the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, which are a critical first step toward healing our democracy.

Will you stand with me and sign our petition calling for Congress to make protecting and expanding voting rights a top priority? This is a crisis that requires urgent action – we can’t rest while the freedom to vote is threatened. [[link removed]]

Thanks for all you do,
Maura
