This week, Pennsylvania Republicans advanced a constitutional amendment to replace the bi-partisan Legislative Re-apportionment Commission (PA's commission that draws districts) with their own “commission” to keep Republicans in power. Typically our Governor would be able to step in veto such outrageous legislation, but because the bill is a constitutional amendment it's not possible. The Republicans control both chambers of the state legislation and likely will be able to pass the bill without your help.
Can you donation immediately to help us fight against this bill, that will unfairly put Republicans in power for years to come.
I also urge you to contact Chairman Seth Grove, the author of this bill to voice your concerns about his commission: [email protected]. If Democrats do not reach the majority in 2022, with bills like this, there will NOT be an opportunity to again.
