Friend,
I hope you saw what Doug sent earlier. I’m proud to work for someone who is steadfast in what he believes and who has spent his life working for justice and unity. His honesty and conviction are refreshing -- and they’re exactly what we need in the Senate.
While Doug’s trying to bring us together, his opponents have apparently to double down on divisiveness. One not only openly supported the President’s racist tweets, but he offered to pay for his American-born colleagues in the House’s “ticket(s) to Venezuela”.
It's clear Doug's opponents are trying to capitalize on this divisiveness -- especially if it helps get them elected. Not one of Doug’s opponents has had the courage or moral fortitude to buck the party line and stand up for their colleagues. They’re content to pit Alabamians against each other.
Please, watch "Unity" now and chip in today to help make sure Alabama elects a unifier, not a divider.
Alabama deserves a Senator who will take a stand for unity, not someone who capitalizes on division just to get ahead.
Thanks,
Cory Warfield

Friend,
Ask any prosecutor which case affected them the most, and they’ll have a story to tell. Some cases, they get to you. They rattle you. They shape your views, they change how you think about the world around you. For me, that case was the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church Bombing.
The 2001 trial was a belated chance to bring justice to Ku Klux Klan members who killed four little girls on a Sunday morning in 1963. Justice prevailed in 2001. But we can’t forget that the Klan prevailed in ‘63. I’ll never forget when my friend, the late Chris McNair, showed me the piece of mortar that killed his daughter. “Until people see that mortar,” he told me, “they truly cannot appreciate what people do in the name of hate.”
If you had asked me before I took on the case, I would have told you I was against hatred. Of course I would have. I would have told you that racism in all its forms was wrong and dangerous. I would have said that we have a responsibility to call hate out when we see it. Friend, I still believe that.
But after knowing the McNair family and fighting for justice for a little girl who had died 38 years before the trial, I know something else. I know the strength of the McNairs and the radical love that propelled them into action, pushing all of us to stand up for what’s right. I know that it’s not only possible for us to stand up for unity and against racial division -- it’s imperative.
Please take a moment and watch me tell the story of the bombing and why unity is so critical. It's important.
The bombing was almost 56 years ago. It’s been 18 years since the final conviction. But the lessons I learned from prosecuting the Klan and seeking justice have never been more important, especially with the President's recent comments toward four of my colleagues.
The President's racist language is only dividing us further. We cannot allow racial divisiveness to hold us back. Every single one of my colleagues in Congress is as American as you and I. I value their perspectives and I challenge my colleagues to consider their contributions to the debate -- even when disagreeing vehemently.
We have to be better than this. We’ve seen what hate can do. We owe it to ourselves and our fellow Americans, and we owe it to four little girls who were killed in 1963.
Together,
Doug Jones
