Thank you for being an important part of this campaign.

You don’t hear a lot from me about our fundraising progress, and it will hopefully stay that way. My campaign team keeps me posted on big milestones, and sometimes they give me lists of grassroots donors to call and thank when we’re driving between campaign stops or waiting for a flight.

My team will continue to work with you on how we can mobilize enough resources to build an organization that can compete, so that you and I can stay focused on what we’re here to do: talk about our shared values and make sure voters across the country hear our bold vision for the future.

Since we launched our exploratory committee back in January, we’ve promised to set authentic goals and be transparent about our progress. That directive comes from me. We need to bring back honesty into our politics, and if a campaign cannot be honest with its earliest supporters, we begin to lose hope for honest politicians altogether.
