President Joe Biden just endorsed reforming the filibuster in the U.S. Senate to pass critical and significant voting rights protections.

For years, Senate Republicans have used the filibuster to obstruct any and all progress on voting rights and many more important issues.

Now, as Republicans in state legislatures across the country pass more and more laws to make it harder to vote and undermine our elections, we can't let Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans prevent urgent voting reforms.

We will not rest until all Americans have full opportunity to exercise their right to vote, and until every person's vote is counted and treated the same — no matter who they are, where they live, or what they look like. It's time to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
