TAKE ACTION AGAINST A PROPOSED AG-GAG LAW IN SASKATCHEWAN
Canadian Residents: Take Action Against Proposed
Anti-Whistleblower (Ag-gag) Legislation in Saskatchewan

Dear John,

Bill 40, The Trespass to Property Amendment Act, 2021, is working its way through the Saskatchewan Legislature.

The Bill contains anti-whistleblowing (ag-gag) language, similar to laws recently passed in Alberta and Ontario. It includes fines of up to $200,000, up to 6 months imprisonment and allows for "victims" or whistleblowing to sue for damages for pain and suffering and other losses due to whistleblowing.

If passed in its current form, this Bill would be very harmful to whistleblowers and non-profits, like LCA, that send whistleblowers undercover to obtain video of what animals endure in factory farms, slaughterhouses, and in transport.

Canadian Residents: Tell the Saskatchewan Legislature to protect whistleblowers!

For the animals,
Mandy
