Building off of our successful first convening held in May of 2021, this gathering will focus on the interconnected and diverse experiences of the nation’s Latinx communities, and upcoming opportunities in 2022 to build power and advance necessary reforms and transformations within the criminal justice system.

You’ll hear from seasoned national leaders who are at the forefront of building the infrastructure to achieve multi-racial community justice. We will discuss and elevate emerging policy reforms, and best practices throughout the country focused on advancing youth justice, drug decriminalization, reintegration pathways, and more.

DPA is proud to be a sponsor of this event where several of our staff members will share expertise and participate on panels. Check out the incredible lineup of speakers and agenda here: [link removed].

You know that the war on drugs has failed to reduce the harms of drug criminalization. We’ll discuss how it’s unfairly impacted Latinx communities and how to change that through reforms such as drug decriminalization, restorative justice, and uprooting the drug war from civil systems: [link removed]

In addition to the drug war, this event will cover a wide spectrum of criminal justice experiences in the U.S. showcasing how criminal justice is a Latinx issue so we can create a shared policy agenda that will inform federal, state, and local policy and organizing campaigns that seek to advance criminal justice reform for all.

Don’t miss out – register to join this important conversation next week:
