Dear Colleague,

How many genders are there, and who decides?

The legal agreement among nations is that there are two: women and men. But, UN delegates just hotly debated whether to drop that understanding in a new treaty. If Europe and Canada get their way, an unknown number of UN agreements and programs affecting billions of people all over the world may be redefined with the stroke of a pen. Stefano Gennarini, J.D. reports.

Some 11,000 scientists just released a statement announcing that a top fix for climate change is…population control. Everything old (not to mention debunked) is new again. Our resident scientist, Dr. Rebecca Oas, reports.

Spread the word and stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Susan Yoshihara, Ph.D.
