Hey there -- I wanted to make sure you saw this email from David about our big wins in this year's elections.
As the state party's point person for local races, I'm so proud of the historic gains we made across Ohio this week (you can read all about them in the email below). And if the trends we saw on Tuesday continue to hold, we're going to be perfectly poised for more and bigger wins in 2020.
We have so much momentum right now, especially in areas that Republicans have been taking for granted -- and we need you on the team that will turn Ohio blue in 2020 and defeat Donald Trump. Check out this email, then pledge $20 today to help us win big in 2020!
Thanks,
Sam

Hi there -- I'm going to tell you about how Election Night 2019 was a massive victory for Ohio Democrats, and then I'm going to ask you to make an investment in our party for 2020.
Of course, if you want to cut to the chase, you can donate here. Otherwise, here's why last night's election results should have Donald Trump terrified.
Last night, we saw huge gains around the country -- the same goes for Ohio. All across the state, Democratic candidates stepped up to run for office, and we trained almost 500 people this year through our Main Street Initiative.
The result? Wins everywhere. Here are just some of our historic victories:
As of last night, Democratic mayors run all 10 of Ohio's biggest cities and 15 of the top 20 -- some won in areas that went for Trump just three years ago.
From Reynoldsburg to Perrysburg, Wyoming to Westerville, Ohio suburbs are turning purple -- sometimes even outright blue. We had major wins for mayor and city council seats in the suburbs of Columbus, Toledo, Cincinnati, Akron and Cleveland.
We also had some big pickups in red and rural parts of the state like Ironton, Norwalk, Coshocton and Archbold where folks are fed up with the GOP's broken promises and failed policies.
We continued our efforts to build a diverse bench of inspiring public servants, and election night saw big victories for Ohio women, LGBTQ+, Young Dems (58 wins and counting!), African-American and Asian-American candidates.
And what's more, we're not running the same type of old-school campaigns -- in 2019, our team made our biggest ever Main Street investment in digital ads that were seen over four million times.
This all points to one thing: we have some serious, tangible momentum, especially in the suburbs and deep red districts. These are areas Republicans have counted on winning for years -- but the last two election cycles show that the GOP's former strongholds aren't so strong.
So, what's next for 2020? We have to continue to hold the line, elect Democrats to the Statehouse and Ohio Supreme Court -- and we have to stop Donald Trump in his tracks. We need you on the team that will turn Ohio blue. Pledge a $20 donation today to help us win big in 2020.
Last night's victories are a result of the hard work and support of Democrats just like you. Thank you for being a part of our fight.
David
