Hi again, it’s Max the dog. I know it’s been a while – feels like it’s been dog years since we last spoke – but I wanted to give you a quick PUPdate on John’s campaign.

On our walk this morning, I heard John tell someone on the phone that they still need another 500 grassroots donors to pitch in before tomorrow at midnight to stay on track for his fundraising deadline.

Now I don’t know much about grassroots fundraising (I know lots about rolling around in the grass!), but I do know that if every person reading this could pitch in just a couple bucks, we’d hit this goal in no time.

So, that’s why I’m emailing you now (which is very difficult to do without thumbs by the way). John is counting on us to support him ahead of this deadline, and I know it would mean so much to John if you chipped in however many human dollars you can to support our campaign today.

Not only is John my best friend, but I know he is the best candidate to be the next Governor of Maryland! So please, before tomorrow's deadline, can you pitch in?
