Dear John,
Only weeks ago, the Supreme Court heard the pivotal abortion-related case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Now the justices are weighing whether Mississippi's Gestational Age Act, which prohibits abortions after 15 weeks gestation (except in rare cases), is constitutional.
Something feels different to those of us long involved in legal battles over life issues. The mainstream media noticed too. Top headlines after oral arguments included "The End of Roe" (The Atlantic) and "Supreme Court Looks Ready to Overturn Roe v. Wade" (New Yorker).
But no one can predict exactly where the court will land. A decision is expected this summer.
While many are content to sit back and disengage, I want to challenge you: Our work is just beginning!
FRC is a unique policy organization. We are headquartered in our nation's capital to inform and influence policy debates in the halls of government. Yet, we also understand that the issues America faces are not just political but spiritual in nature.
And at the heart of the spiritual battle for our nation is abortion.
Since 1973, abortion has claimed over 62 million pre-born lives in America. At FRC, we are committed to taking a biblical, moral stand against abortion -- on Capitol Hill and across this nation.
At FRC, we are preparing for battles that are literally life-changing. Will you partner with FRC through your financial support to fuel our life-saving advocacy in 2022?

So what's our next move? It's the one each of us as believers should be taking as we begin each day: to get on our knees and cry out to God for His purposes to prevail in this nation. The apostle Paul instructed in First Timothy 2:1-2: "First of all, pray..."
Other forms of advocacy matter, to be sure. But we cannot just skip over the important work of prayer for the justices as they weigh a critical decision affecting millions of lives.
That's why we've prioritized public, united prayer! Weeks prior to the Supreme Court hearing the Dobbs case, we began organizing a national prayer gathering in Jackson, Mississippi -- slated for November 28, the Sunday evening prior to the oral arguments. Across ethnic, denominational, generational, and political lines, we gathered in one accord, with one mind to pray for America and a return to an understanding that every life has value because it is created in the image of God.
That powerful Sunday night prayer gathering received more than 100,000 views as Americans tuned in live or participated in a rebroadcast on several Christian media networks.
That night and now we continue to specifically pray for...
- State legislators to have the courage to continue putting forward pro-life legislation;
- Churches, ministries, and the pro-life community to come alongside and support families and single mothers in need;
- Pregnancy resource centers to have the resources to expand their critical work of reaching abortion-minded and other vulnerable women;
- An adoption movement that will ensure every infant that is saved from abortion and every child waiting in foster care finds their forever home; and
- Abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood to be cut off from receiving our taxpayer dollars.
At FRC, we're putting feet to every one of those prayers -- because when we get up off our knees, God calls us to action. God's love is never passive, and ours shouldn't be either.
In the days ahead, we'll be outlining further practical ways you can be involved. Of course, one essential way is ongoing partnership with FRC in this critical time.
Can you give your best gift to bolster FRC's education and mobilization work?

Today, FRC is positioned to impact the nation with effective strategies.
We're bolstering stalwart grassroots conservative legislators with policy research on the human dignity and development of babies in the womb, the dangers of allowing chemical abortion pills to be distributed by mail to women without seeing a doctor in-person to prevent possible life-threatening complications, and the millions in taxpayer dollars abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood receive every year.
We are resourcing a nationwide network of pastors with materials they need to teach the whole counsel of God on the value of human life in the womb. This equips people in the pews to be a light in their spheres of influence.
And by expanding our broadcast capabilities, FRC is reaching countless Americans week after week -- as our flagship program Washington Watch now airs as a television broadcast on NRBTV, HisChannel, and LiftableTV, in addition to almost 800 radio stations nationwide.
These multi-faceted initiatives are speaking truth and changing hearts and minds.
Your support for FRC's mission of education and mobilization is crucial in this hour of history. I am truly grateful for your stand with us.
