The Boot Texas Republicans PAC team wants to make an early endorsement in the race for Harris County Judge.
Harris County is the biggest in Texas, and the County Judge is the lead executive. Whoever wins will be one of the most powerful and influential leaders in Texas.
Current County Judge Lina Hidalgo has enacted ambitious policies to make voting safe and accessible, protect the most vulnerable during the pandemic, and promote real solutions to gun violence.
This makes her a top target for Republicans this year. We think holding this seat is essential to the future of Democratic politics in Texas, and so we’re considering making an early endorsement so we can get her the resources she needs to win.
Since this is an early endorsement, and there are other Democrats in the race, we’ll only do it if a majority of our supporters support this decision.
