John, as the Omicron variant spikes across the country, working people are sick and struggling more than ever before in this pandemic.
Meanwhile, student loans haven't been canceled, child tax credits haven't been renewed, and the Build Back Better Act still hasn't been passed to get expanded health care coverage and child care to the people. We need to elect more leaders who will fight to build a country that cares for ALL of us.
Delia Ramirez is one of those leaders, and she has a track record of people-first leadership as a state representative that we need in Congress. Now, she's running to represent Illinois's 3rd Congressional District, and the Working Families Party is proud to endorse her.
If elected, Delia would be the first Latina congresswoman from the Midwest. Will you join us in helping Delia kick off her campaign for Congress by splitting a $10 contribution between her campaign and the Working Families Party?

A few months after Delia won her primary for the Illinois State Legislature in 2018, Donald Trump started separating migrant children from their parents at the border.
Alongside hundreds of organizations and public officials from across the country, Delia went to the border to stop this inhumane policy, risking arrest to shut down the mass deportation trials taking place that day.
In just three years in the state legislature, she won an elected school board for the City of Chicago, Medicaid coverage for undocumented seniors, and hundreds of millions of dollars in rental and mortgage relief for people across Illinois.
And as the co-chair of the UWF Elected Officials Chapter, she's raised thousands of dollars to support working-class women of color who are running for office. She has refused campaign contributions from real estate developers, school privatizers, and the special interests who prey on our communities.
Delia's record is strong, but her campaign is just getting started. We expect the primary for this recently redrawn congressional district to be a crowded one, which is why early investments in staff and organizing tools are so important.
Our work to elect Working Families majorities in Congress starts with races like this one. Split a contribution between Delia Ramirez and WFP today to help her build a campaign to win.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
