Folks — Donald Trump may no longer be in the White House, but his destructive legacy still remains.

Over the last year, Republicans have latched themselves onto Trump, weaponizing his “Big Lie” and baseless claims of voter fraud to further their own political gain. And now, 33 laws restricting access to the ballot box have been passed in 19 states.

Let me be clear: The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy, and voter suppression is an unacceptable political tactic used to undermine that democratic foundation. I’m ready to fight back.

That’s why I’m calling on the Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act immediately — legislation strengthening our democracy by protecting our right to vote, ending partisan gerrymandering, and getting dark money out of politics.
