We cannot count on this Supreme Court to stand up for the constitutional right to an abortion, not when they’ve made it their life’s purpose to shred it.

Welch for Vermont

Hello,

For nearly five decades, Roe v. Wade has been the law. The constitutional right to an abortion helped make it possible for folks to shape their own futures, for families to decide how and when they grow, and for more people to have equity of opportunity.

But now, with three new justices appointed by Donald Trump, we face the most conservative Supreme Court in history. We cannot count on them to stand up for this constitutional right, not when they’ve made it their life’s purpose to shred the right to an abortion.

So it falls on us, and we have to act together if we want to protect reproductive rights. That’s why I co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which codifies Roe into federal law.

We have to keep up the pressure on the Senate. Add your name right now to tell them to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, no matter what.

The Women’s Health Protection Act would protect the right to choose no matter what the Supreme Court decides.

It is urgent that we act. If we don’t pass this bill, and the Supreme Court guts or overturns Roe v. Wade, the health of millions will be jeopardized. And we know who will be harmed the most: people of color, people with disabilities, young people, immigrants, and those struggling to make ends meet.

I will keep up the fight in Washington. Thank you for your support.

Please, add your name and call on the Senate to do what’s right and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act.

All my best,

Peter
