Happy new year! 2022 is officially here, and for Ruth's List Florida that means one thing -- it's an election year. As you know, we never skip a beat in our efforts to recruit, train, and elect Democratic pro-choice women to office. That's why we spent last year building, growing, and expanding our capacity. I'm excited to share some major staffing changes that will enable us to support a record number of women candidates as we start the 2022 midterm election season:
- Political Director Kayla vanWieringen has been promoted to Vice President of Political and Programs
- Miranda Colavito joins Ruth's List as full-time Deputy Political Director
- Dallas Rawlins is now our full-time Operations Coordinator
We’re thrilled to have Kayla take on a senior leadership role and be fully staffed with incredible talent. Ruth's List is more committed than ever to investing in women leaders who will change the political dynamic in Florida, and I could not be more excited for this team to execute our vision.
We can't do this without you. Your support has been vital to growing our team and supporting women's leadership. I look forward to our partnership and what we will accomplish together this year!

Our 2022 training calendar is live! Visit our website for a full list of virtual trainings this year. We're hosting sessions on everything from messaging to win, donor prospecting, digital media, leveraging endorsements, building a volunteer army -- and so much more.
For our first training of the year, Madalyn Blackburn will join us to cover the basics of building a winning campaign budget. We hope to see you there, next Thursday, January 20, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Space is limited and "seats" are on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
