This program will provide over $1 billion in mortgage relief grants, enabling thousands of Californians to stay in their homes. Qualified homeowners are eligible to receive up to $80,000 per household to cover housing payments or mortgage payments in arrearages—even if the foreclosure process has started. The program will end once all funds are allocated and recipients will not have to repay the funds awarded, allowing them to get caught up and start fresh in the New Year.Homeowners can apply by going to CAMortgageRelief.org.
