For DECADES, Republicans have tried to position themselves as more “patriotic” as a cheap ploy to distract the public from the fact that their policies are designed to enrich their wealthy donors and throw working Americans into poverty.

But now, as they openly promote Trump’s authoritarian lies about the election and cheer on a deadly insurrection, it should be clear to all that the Republican Party has fully become the party of treason.

That’s why Our Revolution North Carolina members — represented by lawyers from Free Speech for the People — filed a legal complaint today to ban Madison Cawthorn from holding or seeking office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment — which bans insurrectionists from publicly elected office.

The time for coddling traitors is over. We must act decisively to defend our democracy and we need your help.
