It’s official, friend: weed is on the ballot in Austin!

This morning the Austin City Clerk certified our ballot initiative to decriminalize marijuana and ban no-knock police warrants. Thanks to you, in May voters in Austin have the chance to vote to end the criminalization of marijuana and the dangerous practice of no-knock police raids.

We wanted to say thank you – because of your support, Ground Game Texas is putting progressive change directly on the ballot across the state. But now the real work begins - we need to turn out every Austin voter to pass this initiative. Can you help support our ‘get out the vote’ efforts to decriminalize marijuana in Austin? We’re so proud of the work of all of our organizers and volunteers. They’ve spent the last few months hitting the doors, talking to voters, and getting folks registered. That’s how we enact progressive change – from the ground up. That’s what Ground Game Texas is all about.

But we couldn’t have done it without YOU – your support helps us pay our organizers, helps us get the word out, and will soon help put progress on the ballot in Texas. We have a lot in store for 2022 – we will be launching campaigns like this across the state that will change the face of our elections.

We’re counting on our supporters to help drive these campaigns. If you can, pitch in $25 today to help us get out the vote to decriminalize marijuana in Austin. [[link removed]]

Together we can bring progressive change to Texas.

Thank you,

-Mike
