We’re moving backwards on voting rights, friend.

It’s not enough that, just last year, Georgia Republicans passed a sweeping anti-voting law to limit drop boxes, early voting, and require more IDs. They are preparing to introduce two new anti-voting bills that we know are targeted against the Democratic majority that flipped Georgia blue in 2020 and that is gearing up to fight for the Governor’s mansion in 2022.

We’re not just seeing this trend in Georgia. Republicans across the country have spent the last year proposing and even passing anti-voting bills making it even harder to access the voting booth — all to cozy up to Trump and double down on his “Big Lie.”

Carolyn and her colleagues in the House passed comprehensive voting rights legislation to combat this rampant voter suppression. However, the Senate is not doing their part. Under McConnell’s leadership, they used the filibuster to block critical legislation — multiple times.
