John: As the new year begins and the harsh winter settles in, Afghan children and their families are in grave danger.
Snow has already arrived and temperatures are dropping below freezing at night in Kabul. That's the kind of cold that can numb your fingers, make your body shake and weaken your immune response. Things are expected to get even worse.
More than 5.5 million Afghans remain displaced because of political instability, climate shocks and COVID-19. Now, many are stranded in temporary shelters without adequate food, heat or warm clothing.
To help us meet this moment of exceptional need, an anonymous donor will contribute $10,000 for families in crisis zones — IF we can get 100 new monthly donors to sign up this week. Will you be one of them?
John, even if you can spare just $10 per month, it will make a lasting difference for families in need. |
