Last September, Senate Democrats introduced the Freedom to Vote Act.
This bill would radically improve our democracy -- taking on threats like voter suppression, gerrymandering, and big money in politics – helping to ensure that all Americans, regardless of income or race, have a voice in our elections.
Not only would it expand voter registration through both automatic and same-day registration while increasing voting access with vote-by-mail and early voting, it would also place limits on removing voters from voter rolls and establish Election Day as a federal holiday.
Needless to say, the components of this bill are overwhelmingly supported by the American people, but getting our representatives to take action will require an overwhelming show of support for this bill.

The anniversary of January 6th was just a few days ago… we cannot forget that the Republican war on voting rights is an unprecedented threat to our democracy.
If we don’t fight for our voting rights NOW, Republicans will continue fighting to suppress the vote and take back majorities in Congress.
Passing the Freedom to Vote Act will strengthen our voting rights so that all of us, regardless of political party, background, or where we live, have an equal say in who represents us.
It will end gerrymandering along partisan and racial lines by requiring fair maps for congressional districts and, it will take important steps to fight dark money in elections while simultaneously encouraging small-dollar donors so we can reduce the influence of big money in politics.
We can pass this bill and take on voter suppression. But we can’t do it without your help. Can you sign the petition to Demand President Biden protect our freedom to vote and urge the Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act immediately?
