John,

As the new year begins, I’m reflecting on how you’ve been an integral part of a diverse movement, along with people of all ages and backgrounds, to transform the way we care. We’re living longer than ever before, and every single one of us should be able to age with dignity.

The new year is a time for resolutions, and your own resolutions can be easy and prioritize the well-being of yourself and those you love most. Here are three simple resolutions you can make to enter 2022 with a clear outlook:

  • Urge the Senate to pass Build Back Better: Aging with dignity isn’t just personal—it’s political. And the Build Back Better plan will provide the largest investment in home and community based care since Medicaid started covering those services decades ago. Tell the Senate it’s time to deliver!
  • Learn more about what we're fighting for: It’s essential to understand the significance of our policy agenda and which government actions have a stake in your future to ensure we can all age with care.
  • Create a free estate plan to care for all the people, pets, communities, and causes important to you.

Want to know a little more about that last bullet? We’ve partnered with FreeWill: a free online resource more than 400,000 individuals have used to make their wills and other estate planning documents so they can secure their futures. Aging well is certainly political, but it also begins with ensuring you do all that you can to protect yourself and those you love.

Age with care by taking care of what’s important now. It only takes 20 minutes to create your plans. All of these resolutions are simple actions you can take to ensure the coming year is the best it can be for yourself and all that you value.

Thank you so much again for your endless support for Caring Across Generations.

With care,

Rebekah Alexander, Individual Giving Manager
