When Our Revolution is evaluating which candidates to endorse, we want to make sure they support the CPC core issues:

Voting rights reform now as a step towards preventing autocracy
Medicare for All and cutting pharma prices by 40%
Eliminating all fossil fuel subsidies
Criminal justice reform that includes ending qualified immunity for police and cash bail for nonviolent crimes
Immigration reform, so 12 million green card holders have a path to vote and essential workers are protected
$15 minimum wage now and increasing every year with inflation
Passing the PRO Act to encourage union organizing
Stopping the expansion of the military budget and blocking the new round of nuclear weapons

Because our candidates take these popular and commonsense positions, vast amounts of fossil fuel, big pharma, and finance industry money will be spent to prop up progressive opponents like Henry Cuellar in Texas, Richard Neal in MA, Josh Gotheimer in NJ, and many more.

We stand fully behind CPC chair Pramila Jayapal, who works hard every day to build a progressive majority among the Democratic Caucus. We have elected more progressives recently, but still at least 30 short of a majority of the 222 House Democrats.

When we analyze defeats like the collapse of Build Back Better, we need to remember that we can not govern on behalf of working Americans without at least a majority of the Democratic Caucus.

We must double down on electing progressive House members using our leverage in primaries. 2022 is another opportunity to organize and win. Help support our critical work by pitching in now!
