Our democracy is at a crossroads.

Over 30 voter suppression laws were enacted last year and hundreds more were introduced in Ohio and states across the country. At the same time, GOP lawmakers are using redistricting to gerrymander their states’ maps to orchestrate a partisan takeover of our elections where elected officials pick their voters.

Systematically, the GOP is chipping away at the integrity of our elections and Americans’ voting rights.

Democrats are fighting back. This week, the Senate will take up critical voting rights legislation to combat voter suppression, restore voting protections, and protect our elections from partisan interference. And if we need to end the filibuster to prevent Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans from blocking progress on voting rights and other important legislation, then that’s what we need to do.
