At City Hall, Barbara has shown up for the environment by leading on the Styrofoam ban and fighting to preserve open spaces by voting to preserve the Fiesta Island dog park and voting against the Cisterra Del Mar Preserve Project in Torrey Highlands.
On the Climate Action Plan, Barbara is calling for updates and more aggressive targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including adopting a mobility action plan that will prioritize better transit services, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, and locating jobs and housing in close proximity.
Barbara will develop local environmental policies that focus on economic opportunities. Advancing renewable energy development, improving transportation, promoting better land use, creating new job centers, and training young people to be ready for those jobs, all contribute to building our economy while rescuing our environment. The next mayor will oversee multi-billion dollar contracts as we implement Community Choice Aggregation (CCA’s). Barbara is ready to lead. San Diego will be a model for developing economic opportunities through environmental policies.
The election is on March 3, and mail ballots will go out the first week of February – less than four months from now. The time to step up for Barbara and our environment is now.

I hope you’ll join me for this important event.
Even if you can’t make it, I am very appreciative if you are able to donate! It’s crucial that we ensure Barbara has the resources to continue to share her experience and vision for San Diego. You can donate online here.
