The government is trying to stop our case to protect free speech on the U.S.
Capitol Grounds. 

 

You may be familiar with our case against the U.S. Capitol Police Board for
unconstitutionally prohibiting our client, Rev. Pat Mahoney, from hosting a
prayer vigil on Capitol grounds for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. 

 

And you may remember that the Capitol Police Board allowed Cori Bush, a
far-left Congresswoman, to host a leftist political rally on Capitol Grounds
just days before Rev. Mahoney’s request to host the 9/11 Prayer vigil was
rejected. 

 

Well, today, we responded to the government’s motion to dismiss the case by
filing our brief in opposition. 

 

We won’t back down. 

 

You see, John, the government knows that we have a strong case against it... 

 

As it stands, the government has turned the right to speak or worship on the
Capitol Grounds into a game of “who knows who.” 

 

They’ve anointed members of Congress with the First Amendment freedoms they’ve
deprived the rest of us. 

 

That’s why Rep. Cori Bush was able host a far-left rally on the Capitol
Grounds, but Rev. Mahoney’s 9/11 Prayer vigil was forbidden... 

 

...And what’s worse is that they’ve chosen to give the corporate Mainstream
Media (MSM) nearly unfettered access to the Capitol and the U.S. Capitol
Grounds...  

 

So now, Americans like you and I have no other choice than to view what’s
happening on Capitol Hill through the lens of the corrupt MSM. 

 

That leads to a question I have for you today: 

 

Do you trust the media to tell you the unbiased truth about what’s happening
in Congress?

The worst kept secret in Washington D.C. is the Mainstream Media’s bias—they
hate conservatives. 

 

That’s why this case is so important. The MSM and specially chosen leftist
activists should NOT be the only ones given access to the Capitol Grounds! 

 

All Americans have the right to peacefully express their beliefs on the
grounds outside the Capitol.
