“Voting rights in the spotlight as 2022 midterms approach”
You bet they are, John! In 2021 Republicans enacted 34 voting restrictions in 19 states, including in states like Arizona and Georgia that Democrats won in 2020. 2022 is our chance to help undo that damage by fighting our hardest for the unencumbered right to vote. Here’s what the NDRC is doing:
✅ Supporting federal voting rights legislation in the Senate. Thanks to the help of folks like you , we’re co-leading a $40 million campaign to boost this must-pass bill!
✅ Speaking out against voter suppression in the states. A.G. Holder and the NDRC are adamant that the GOP will not get away with their attempts to keep voters away from the polls.
✅ Making sure every vote counts equally by fighting gerrymandering. The same Republicans restricting voting rights are also trying to manipulate the maps to seize unearned power. But we’re working to stop them!
