One year ago this week, Congressman Jamie Raskin was at work in the Capitol -- days after his son died -- as insurrectionists put his life and the life of our democracy in danger.

He remembers being separated from his daughter, who was also there that day. He heard a hideous pouding at the doors to the House chamber. "I will never forget it," he says.

Today, as he helps lead the congressional investigation of how Trump and his allies were responsible for the insurrection, he is also releasing a new book about his story. It's called, "UNTHINKABLE: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy." Order it here. (Order audio here.)

We are honored to host Congressman Raskin on a special Zoom conversation this Thursday to discuss his book, his story, and the fight to preserve our democracy. You're invited to attend and ask questions.

RSVP here to join Jamie Raskin and PCCC members for this special Zoom call Thursday, January 13, at 7pm Eastern, 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, 4pm Pacific.

(Want Congressman Raskin to be able to focus on investigating Trump instead of fundraising for his re-election? Chip in $3 to his 2022 campaign here.)

We hope lots of people order his book in advance. In it, he tells the story of the forty-five days at the start of 2021 that permanently changed his life -- and his family's -- as he confronted the painful loss of his son to suicide, lived through the violent insurrection at the Capitol, and led the impeachment effort to hold President Trump accountable for inciting the political violence.

PCCC members supported Jamie Raskin in his first primary for Congress. He is a longtime friend and ally. He is a hero and was named "Person Of The Year" recently by The New Yorker.

It is a testament to our deep partnership that he could make this happen amidst the ongoing investigation, floor votes, and dozens of interviews with national media including MSNBC, NPR, CBS, the Washington Post, the New Yorker, Vogue, People, and more.

RSVP to meet Jamie Raskin on Zoom this Thursday here. And order his book here.

(And, chip in to his 2022 campaign here.)

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
