John —

Let me explain exactly how Tucker Carlson’s misinformation cycle works:

1. Tucker gets on FOX News and makes absurd, untrue claims about my record in office, my personal life, and my family. None of these claims are backed by fact, and often take an extremely nasty tone.
2. Tucker’s loyal base of viewers turns on their television, or scrolls through Tucker’s social media, and absorb these untrue claims. They trust Tucker to tell them the truth — so they believe every word of his lies.
3. Then, like clockwork, I receive dozens of threatening, frightening messages aimed at not only me but my wife and three young children.
4. Rinse, repeat.

It’s happened so many times now, I believe Tucker wants this to happen. I think he’s counting on it.

This is the entire strategy of the GOP: spread misinformation, hope it reaches the right person, and wait for that person to express their vitriol outwards on behalf of the party. It’s a disgusting, treacherous tactic that is dangerous not only to lawmakers and their families, but our democracy.

I need your support to continue fighting this brand of misinfo-politics in Congress. John, can you help me build up our campaign infrastructure to ensure that I can continue working against people like Tucker and the entire Republican machine? [[link removed]]

Forget rational debate and professional courtesy. The GOP has devolved into a faction of conspiracists, insurgents, and insurgent-apologists. They need to be stopped , and I want to ensure that I’m in Congress to continue holding these people accountable. Can you back me on this, John? [[link removed]]

As long as people like Tucker wield influence and power, you can be sure that I’ll continue speaking out against them. I appreciate all your support, John.
