"Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?"

- James 2:5
Africa & Europe
Please pray as the trial for the murder of an IJM staff member, client and their driver in Kenya has reached its final stages.Willie, Joseph and Josephat were abducted outside of court and killed in 2016. More than five years later, the case continues with four police officers and one civilian standing trial. The prosecution must file their final submissions this week, in advance of presenting those submissions to the judge on February 11 and 12. Pray for wisdom and for the truth to be clear in these final statements so that there would be justice in this case.
Latin America
Join the Dominican Republic in rejoicing and prayers for the launch of the Survivor Network "Cicatrices de Oro" (Scars of Gold)! Despite initial beliefs that it would not be possible to achieve last year, they now look ahead to the future for these survivors and ask for prayer to grow into community leaders who advocate for community and governmental change.
South Asia
Praise God for great media coverage on the issue of child labor in our project area, and pray these crucial stories create real change! A talented journalist recently did a two-part series on boys who are trafficked into goat-grazing. These boys faced horrendous violence and deprivation out in the wilderness without anyone to protect them, and the journalist covered their plight with care and compassion. Pray that powerful officials and concerned citizens would read these stories and make a change to protect those in need.
Southeast Asia
Please pray for the recruitment of open positions within our Forced Labor Slavery Hub! We are entering a season of change and are presented with new opportunities within our program. Please pray specifically for the launch of our Indonesia Program, and that we would find the right staff to lead our work there. May God bring the right people to fill vacant functions to serve His mission!

11-year-old Anaelí’* in Guatemala . Pray that as people read the story of an IJM caseworker and lawyer coming alongside Anaelí’s family in their fight for justice, they are moved by her bravery and strength so that others like Anaelí would be able to receive justice.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them, please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
