Well, I've had an absolutely miserable day. I wasn't able to go out and collect signatures for my ballot petition at all. I've got a leaking pipe somewhere in my bathroom. I waited all day long for the plumber to call and tell me when he'd come by. He called around 2 to say he'd call us later and then never did. And then the campaign cards that I spent $150 on were apparently delivered to a wrong address because they weren't delivered here. On a positive note, our website is up. In one picture you see me with folks on the left. In the other you see me with folks on the right. Our enemy is not our neighbor, no matter how much we may disagree on certain issues. Our enemy is the corrupt establishment and the oligarchs that own the government.

Sanctions target the poor, depriving people of food and medicine, even when they are "targeted". The US has sanctions preventing Syrian reconstruction and even has sanctions on free food programs in Venezuela and elsewhere. Sanctions are siege warfare. US sanctions have killed tens of thousands of people, perhaps as much as 100,000 people, in Venezuela alone. The US does this to try to impose the will of American corporations on sovereign nations. What could be more authoritarian? And Mike Thompson supports sanctions, claiming that they are "not destructive". Mike Thompson is a liar and an employee of Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, L3 Technologies, Northrup Grumann, Honeywell and General Dynamics.

Congressman Mike Thompson ([link removed][0]=AZXwTpYUg7uqKEzB5bQhOmz2wycjCI5SnPOv4ukGdlZRjxeQVhhWEeNglSosqr-ADI_qAb7OcM7HE1j0cg_X65CTIkyeatvmdGLFZgt1aigDz0NmJgr7SIn7K5iqCDOlcivhK_vu8R5isKIoUU7apI4lAocV9JtuOMteHd9wjO9tPw&__tn__=-]K-R) says he doesn't know how Medicare For All is payed for. How is that possible when it's been explained by Sen. Sanders AND his progressive challenger (me) over and over again? He's a co-sponsor of the bill, so you'd think he'd take the time to read it. But he's also a senior member of the Ways & Means Committee the bill has been stuck in. Don't you think that's been a topic of discussion? Any way you look at it, no matter how generous to Thompson you want to be, not knowing how this bill is paid for is an indictment. There is no justification for not having that information at this late date.
