  • Charting Our Course for a Livable Future Plenary with Tykee James, Wandra Ashley-Williams, Sevim Kalyoncu, and Jack Thompson: 1:00-1:50 p.m.
  • Connecting with Businesses: 1:55-2:25 p.m.
  • Connecting with Agriculture: 2:30-3:00 p.m.
  • Connecting with Youth: 3:05-3:35 p.m.
  • Connecting with EJ Communities: 3:40-4:10 p.m.
  • Legislative Updates and Next Steps: 4:15-4:50 p.m.
  • Art Display and Announcement of Winners: 4:50-5:00 p.m.

  • Prize=$100
  • Second Prize=$50
  • Third Prize=$25


Submit your art project here: as early as you wish prior to noon ET on February 4. Your art may inspire others to join in the fun.


Line 2: Skills and Knowledge

  • What the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Means for Our Region: 1:55-2:25 p.m.
  • Social Media as a Political Will Lever: 2:30-3:00 p.m.Engaging Local Elected Officials: 3:05-3:35 p.m.
  • Onboarding While Constructing the Board: 3:40-4:10 p.m.


Line 3: Workshops to help chart our course

  • Labor Support for Carbon Pricing: Discussions with Mark Aisles, AFT member, Kyle Beauchamp, NEA member, Johnny Zuagar, AFGE Local 2782 president on working together with labor for a livable future. 1:55 -3:00 p.m.
  • En-ROADS: Explore the regional effects of rising seas, financial Impacts, and health impacts with different policies using MIT/Climate Interactive En-ROADS model. 3:05-4:10 p.m.


Line 4: Healing Circles: 65 minute sessions at 1:55-3:00 p.m. and again from 3:05-4:10 p.m.

 

Sunday , February 6th 
On Sunday afternoon, fully vaccinated attendees will have the opportunity to meet in person in Bowie, MD @ Bowie State University from 2-4 pm. The focus will be Youth Empowerment (more details to come).


We will inform you of any changes with the in-person session through email as well as updates here on the registration page. And you will have details about our event at Bowie State University through email.
