John, our democracy is on the line. But we have a judiciary whose highest court is unwilling and unable to defend it.

Our current Supreme Court has gutted voting rights, it's opened the floodgates to give corporations and dark money groups unlimited influence on elections, and it's allowed harsh restrictions to reproductive choice to take effect in states (in complete violation of Roe v. Wade).

The court is stacked with extreme judges thanks to strong-arm tactics by Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump that ignored the will of the American people. The far right took unprecedented steps to reshape the court – and now the court is acting to roll back decades of progress in our country.

This moment demands action. Congress must step up to protect our constitutional rights and the tenets of our democracy. That means creating the conditions for a Supreme Court that truly reflects our values and diversity.
