Children need critical aid in Syria

The news has been filled with alerts on the attacks in northeast Syria, but the politics seem to be louder than the humanitarian crisis facing children.

Make no mistake, children are bearing the brunt of this conflict. Schools, hospitals and water sources have been destroyed and families forced to flee their homes. The refugee camps where they end up are already overwhelmed. There is nowhere safe for children in Syria.

We are doing everything we can to protect them, but our programs in the area are severely underfunded. We need your help, Friend.

Because this is a complicated and dangerous place for humanitarian workers, many of our partners have been forced to pull out of the region. That means UNICEF is one of the only groups left on the ground protecting children. UNICEF and you, Friend, are their only defense.
