Last year’s coup attempt at the Capitol highlights that our nation is at a crossroads and both ways forward are on full display – the ugly reality of white supremacy, hate, and white nationalism versus a multiracial coalition of people working to restore the soul of America.

And if we’ve learned anything, it’s that there is no middle ground. Democrats cannot “compromise,” “negotiate,” or “come to the table” with the GOP tyrants who enabled January 6’s violent terrorism. The way we heal is through accountability for anyone who participated in this act of violence.

That’s why one year later, we’re supporting Rep. Cori Bush’s continued demand for the investigation and expulsion of the Republican members of Congress who incited the January 6 insurrection. We need 15,000 signers today to make our voices heard, so, John, will you join us by signing now?

Every member of Congress that incited the insurrection — Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene — is still in Congress, stoking fear and misinformation to lay the foundations for the next coup.

And we say next coup, because if we don’t hold the insurrectionists accountable, there will be a next coup — whether it’s in 2022, 2024, or sometime else.

It’s far past time to investigate and remove members of Congress involved in instigating the violence. It’s time to use the majority advantage the Democratic Party finally has to make the change we need.
