Newly released research shows just how damaging closing schools during the pandemic has been to kids. The new studies show closures caused students to significantly regress in their reading and math skills. In addition, remote learning created increased social isolation that negatively impacts children’s mental health and leads to increased screen time on social media.
But now some teachers’ unions have renewed their push for remote learning. Conservatives across the country have listened to parents and fought to ensure that every child can receive an in-person education free of woke ideology. Equipping America’s children with the tools they need to succeed in the future will remain at the forefront of conservatives’ agenda in 2022.
