This is the culmination of everything we’ve been working toward Indivisibles,
On Monday, Majority Leader Schumer set a much clearer deadline for action on voting rights -- committing the Senate to debating and considering rules reform (that means getting the filibuster out of the way!) by the 17th of this month.
Now that we’ve had a few weeks to take a breather and gather our strength, it’s time to get to work and finish this fight strong. This is the culmination of everything we’ve been working toward for the last year, and it’s crucial we leave it all on the field.
That means kicking all our tried-and-true tactics into high gear -- driving calls to senators, hosting nationwide mobilizations and events, working to craft strong narratives in the media outlets senators care about, and more. It also means we need to get creative and come at this from every angle we can think of.
Grassroots participation and, yes, donations are what make all that work possible. It costs us money to keep our call tools and organizing toolkits online, send merch and materials to activists for successful events, and do everything else it takes to win. That’s why we’re asking for your help -- click here to donate $10 today to support our next big democracy push, fund everything we need to make it happen, and help us get the policy wins we deserve in 2022.

Yesterday’s anniversary of the right-wing insurrection at the Capitol is yet another reminder that many would rather destroy our democracy than give all people the say they deserve. But we know that those of us who want to protect and expand the people’s rights to participate are in the majority, and what we are fighting for is right. That’s why we’re ready to fight as hard as we can to win this battle -- and we hope you’ll be right there with us. Thank you.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
P.S. -- We know there’s also been talk from Republicans about reforming the Electoral Count Act. Those reforms are good, and Dems should absolutely consider adding them as amendments to the Freedom to Vote Act -- but we can’t get distracted by false promises from the GOP. Check out our Twitter thread on the Electoral Count Act discussions for more on why we can’t let Dems fumble our signature democracy bills at the last minute.
