Congress can take action to address this crisis.

John,

Like the giant comet in the satiric film Don’t Look Up, climate change has arrived, threatening life as we know it. And President Biden — leader of the country that emits more greenhouse gas than any other on Earth — is failing to deliver effectively on his climate promises.

But there’s still something we can do.

Tools with the power to steer the U.S. economy away from fossil-fueled climate catastrophe toward a sustainable, just future can be unlocked by declaring the climate crisis as a national emergency. Biden hasn't taken this step, but a bill in Congress would require him to do so.

Urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the National Climate Emergency Act.
