One year ago, we watched as far-right insurrectionists attempted to
violently overthrow our government.

And they’re still hard at work behind the scenes, attempting the same goal
by a variety of means.

Consider what we’ve seen in the year since the attack on our U.S. Capitol:

* Far-right-controlled legislatures in 19 states enacted 34 voter
suppression or election nullification bills in 2021 – all based on the
Trumpian “Big Lie” about the 2020 election results – and at least four
more states are preparing to enact similar measures this year, while
at least nine states will carry over bills from last year.^(1)

* QAnon conspiracy theorists are running for local, state and federal
offices around the country^(2) – and in many cases, winning their
races and promoting dangerous, non-reality-based policies such as
opposition to mask and vaccine mandates while the Omicron variant
surges.^(3)

* Nationally, the Far Right and the Big Lie now have full control over
the Republican Party – to the extent that current House Minority
Leader Kevin McCarthy is openly promising to restore “better”
committee assignments to Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar (who
were both censured for violent and incendiary posts to social media)
should Republicans seize control of the House in the midterm elections
this year.^(4)

I’ll cut
right to the chase: People For has the experience, know-how and a solid
2022 plan to fight these ongoing attacks on our democracy ... but we need
