John, I know the beginning of the election year is a busy time — but I need just one minute to talk to you about my friend, Congresswoman Katie Porter.

You and I both know that Katie is an absolute powerhouse. She’s a fearless advocate for consumers, and as a single mom herself, she's one of my top partners in the fight for paid family leave. (And have you seen her wielding a whiteboard?!)

These last few years have made it abundantly clear that we need Katie in Congress. But now, she’s at serious risk of losing her House seat. 

You see, Kevin McCarthy and national Republicans have listed her as a top target in the midterm elections. If they flip Katie’s seat, we'll lose an incredible voice for progress – and Republicans will be all but guaranteed to retake the House majority.

Katie has a critical fundraising deadline coming up at midnight tonight, and she's still short of her $10,000 goal – so I'm coming to ask for your support:
