Let me be very clear:
Running a successful campaign for president requires an obscene amount of money. And we are not going to rely on a super PAC or support from wealthy donors who are used to buying candidates and elections.
The way we funded our 2016 campaign – and what we must do again this time around – is through an unprecedented grassroots effort of lots of people contributing small donations.
That is quite simply the only way we will take on the billionaire class and win. And that is why I am asking you today:
