[[link removed]]

Hi Taxpayer,

Thank you so much for fighting against wasteful (and cruel!) taxpayer-funded
animal experiments with White Coat Waste Project (WCW) last year. We want to
show you just how big of an impact you’ve had.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen a story or two
about cruel experiments on beagles funded by Dr. Anthony Fauci.
[[link removed]]

WCW exposed ALL of them. Six, to be precise.
[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

WCW’s #BeagleGate campaign
[[link removed]] β€” the year’s BIGGEST animal testing campaign β€” made headlines
[[link removed]] all over the world.

We worked with Rep. Nancy Mace to introduce the PAAW Act
[[link removed]] to defund ALL of Fauci’s wasteful dog labs β€” from sand flies in Tunisia
[[link removed]] to de-barking
[[link removed]] in California.

#BeagleGate also put a target on our back
[[link removed]] from The Washington Post, to Google
[[link removed]] , to even the NIH Director
[[link removed]] himself.

But we know that taking flak means we’re over the target.

We remain unbowed, unbent, and unbroken β€” and we will keep fighting the War on
Fauci’s Waste!

# of painful U.S. government kitten tests at the start of 2021: 4

# of painful U.S. government kitten tests at the end of 2021: 2

WCW shut down 2 government kitten experiments in 2021!

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

6-month-old kittens. Suffocated. De-brained.

That’s what our successful Freedom of Information Act
[[link removed]] lawsuit exposed in early 2021.

The VA’s Los Angeles lab wasted $5 million to abuse and kill kittens β€” but WCW SHUT IT DOWN
[[link removed]] β€” just days after our investigation aired on CBS News!

Last year, WCW exposed
[[link removed]] how the VA’s Cleveland lab was slaughtering kittens in wasteful β€œcat-stipation”
(i.e. constipation) experiments.

What a load of crap β€” literally.

This year, WCW also SHUT DOWN
[[link removed]] these β€˜crappy’ experiments, once and for all.

At the start of 2021, there were four painful experiments on cats in the federal
government. Now there are two.

WCW is on the verge of completely ending
[[link removed]] Uncle Sam’s Cat-astrophic waste!

We thought we were done with the Wuhan lab in 2020.

That’s when WCW first exposed
[[link removed]] how U.S. taxpayers funded animal experiments
[[link removed]] at the Wuhan Institute of Virology β€” the probable source
[[link removed]] of the COVID-19 pandemic.

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

We even got President Trump
[[link removed]] to cancel the infamous EcoHealth grant. But Washington bureaucracy runs VERY
deep.

In 2021, WCW shocked the world (again) when we exposed how the Wuhan Lab is still eligible
[[link removed]] for animal testing payouts!

Taxpayers everywhere were F.E.D . UP! So WCW got to work again:

F IND THE WASTE:

* Uncovered the Wuhan loophole.
[[link removed]]
* Launched investigations
[[link removed]] , followed by even more
[[link removed]] investigations like this
[[link removed]] , this one
[[link removed]] , and this
[[link removed]] , and this too.
[[link removed]]
* Sued
[[link removed]] Fauci’s NIH and proved the Laos
[[link removed]] connection (It’s a BFD).
* Obtained the smoking gun
[[link removed]] , gain-of-function documents via FOIA.

E XPOSE THE WASTE:

* Got lots
[[link removed]] and lots
[[link removed]] of media coverage.
* Ran hard-hitting ads.
[[link removed]]

D EFUND THE WASTE:

* Built a coalition
[[link removed]] and held the first-ever lab leak
[[link removed]] briefings for the U.S. Congress.
[[link removed]]
* Did lots of outreach on Capitol Hill.
[[link removed]]
* Pushed legislation
[[link removed]] to defund
[[link removed]] and declassify.
[[link removed]]
* Passed House
[[link removed]] and Senate
[[link removed]] legislation.

We even got President Biden to sign this bill
[[link removed]] into law, too!

2021 was a good year for WCW β€” and a bad year for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs’
(VA) monkey business.

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

WCW has been cleaning up the VA’s animal experiments
[[link removed]] for years, including the Minneapolis primate lab which had been squandering $7
million of your tax dollars on angel dust experiments.

Here’s the bad news: this wasteful monkey business had been extended for several more years and
approved to abuse even more monkeys.

But here’s the good news: WCW ended the experiments early!
[[link removed]]

Following this massive win, WCW scored another DECISIVE VICTORY:

We SHUT DOWN a SECOND VA lab in West Haven, CT
[[link removed]] where government white coats severed the spines of β€œcalm [and] easy to handle”
vervet monkeys, then forced them to perform dexterity tests in exchange for
food.

Your tax bill for this was 9 million dollars. Now it’s ZERO.

We’re not going to stop fighting. There’s only one VA primate lab left.

WCW is proud to be the ONLY group to shut down a primate lab in the United
States since 2015!

WCW’s campaign to CUT FDA RED TAPE
[[link removed]] continued in full force in 2021.

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

In May, we released
[[link removed]] Broken Bureaucracy, a first-of-its-kind investigation of how thousands of
puppies are killed each year just to satisfy FDA’s animal testing mandate.

Then, because we like to SOLVE problems (in addition to exposing them) we worked with lawmakers on both sides
of the aisle to introduce the AARF Act.
[[link removed]]

This important bill would help Cut FDA Red Tape, allowing industry to use modern
alternatives to puppies in pharmaceutical testing.

Just one month after we released Broken Bureaucracy, the House Appropriations Committee passed
[[link removed]] the FDA’s 2022 funding bill, which includes WCW-backed language directing the
agency to issue a detailed report on its efforts to allow drug makers to avoid
wasteful and cruel animal testing.

After so many #BeagleGate and Wuhan lab exposΓ©s, we knew that Dr. Fauci wasted a
LOT of money on cruel animal experiments.

But even we weren’t prepared for the horrors we would find on Monkey Island.
[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

Every year, around 500 monkeys are captured from their home on Morgan Island,
SC, and shipped to Fauci-run labs, where they’re subjected to batteries of
extraordinarily painful experiments, and infected with the most dangerous and
deadly diseases known to man.

Your tax bill? $13.5 million.

WCW then accompanied Mace on this fact-finding trip
[[link removed]] .
[[link removed]]

Public outcry has been loud and swift. And media coverage went VIRAL:

[[link removed]]

First: in 2018, WCW exposed how the Environmental Protection Agency was abusing 20,000 small mammals
[[link removed]] every year.

Then: in 2019, following WCW’s campaign
[[link removed]] , EPA announced a landmark plan
[[link removed]] to phase out all animal testing.

Next: in 2020, WCW’s launched another effort
[[link removed]] to RETIRE the EPA’s bunny survivors.

FINALLY, on January 20, 2021 β€” his final day in office β€” EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler worked with WCW to give EPA’s lab bunnies a
parting gift: a pardon.
[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

Now WCW is working to ensure all government agencies have policies allowing
survivors to be retired after WCW closes the labs.

As part of our 2021 GiveThemBack
[[link removed]] campaign, WCW scored a key win in USDA appropriations
[[link removed]] , where there’s still no such retirement policy.
[[link removed]]

And we reintroduced Violet’s Law
[[link removed]] (aka AFTER Act) to help retire ALL lab survivors… across the entire federal government!

Government lab survivors aren’t the only ones we retired in 2021.

We also retired the government’s top lab funder
[[link removed]] , too.

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

NIH Director Francis Collins resigned amid the Wuhan lab and gain-of-function
(GoF) funding scandal, first exposed by WCW.

You remember GoF, right? It’s a crazy (well, bat sh*t crazy) type of
taxpayer-funded animal experimentation
[[link removed]] to intentionally make viruses more dangerous.
[[link removed]]

Collins (and Fauci!) supported
[[link removed]] GoF for a long, long time. But, NIH denied it.

Well, this year, WCW’s investigators discovered the smoking gun, confirmed GoF
[[link removed]] research took place and helped kick Collins to the curb.

Yes, Virginia, there is GoF research at the Wuhan lab. You paid for it. And WCW
just defunded
[[link removed]] it.

As we say goodbye to 2021, let’s also say β€œso long” to Dr. Collins.

Wuhan isn’t alone.

[[link removed]]

[[link removed]]

In July, WCW launched a brand new investigation, Worldwide Waste
[[link removed]] , along with a new campaign to CUT NIH FOREIGN AID β€” because we think it’s ludicrous that U.S. taxpayers waste $140 million (!)
every year on pointless and dangerous animal experiments all around the world.

Shortly after the release
[[link removed]] of Worldwide Waste, the House Appropriations
[[link removed]] Committee included a WCW-backed measure in the NIH’s 2022 spending bill requesting information about oversight of animal experiments in foreign
countries.

WCW worked with 14 lawmakers who wrote to the NIH
[[link removed]] , demanding information on these international expenditures.

WCW also worked with Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI) to introduce the AFAR Act
[[link removed]] which would prohibit your paycheck from being shipped to animal labs in foreign
countries like Russia and China.

Good, common-sense idea, right?

We thought so, too.

Anyway, we just wanted to say thanks for helping us cut taxes and save lives
from government animal labs. So, thanks. You’re awesome!

Have a great 2022!

Because taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay $20 billion+ for wasteful government animal experiments,

Team WCW

To stop taxpayer-funded animal tests, we must first stop the $20 billion+ in
wasteful government spending.

We find, expose, and de-fund wasteful government spending on animal experiments.
To change public policy, we unite liberty lovers and animal lovers with
hard-hitting investigations and public policy campaigns.
