John,
One year ago today, our democracy was scarred forever.
In one of our country's darkest hours, Trump supporters violently stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election. We must never forget the white supremacist flags they flew, the horrifying noose they built, or the five Americans who perished following this tragedy.
It's been clear from the start that we have one person to blame for this shameful attack: Donald Trump. His repeated lies about election fraud and his message to "fight like hell" provoked his supporters to resort to violence – but he still hasn't been brought to justice one year later.
Right now, Donald Trump and his associates are doing everything they can to sweep this tragedy under the rug. Nearly every Republican voted against the bipartisan investigation into the attack, and Trump's former chief of staff even refused to answer a subpoena.
It's up to us to ensure that justice is served, so I urgently need 25,000 concerned Democrats to defend our democracy against Donald Trump before it's too late. I'm counting on you to join me before midnight:
Should Donald Trump and his allies be held accountable for inspiring the Jan. 6 insurrection?

Thank you for standing with me. Together, we will defend our country and mend our democracy.
