Today is the anniversary of Trump's violent attempt to overthrow democracy. As the threat has only grown worse over the last year, we're teaming up with Free Speech For People to launch a new and urgent campaign to demand Secretaries of State bar politicians who engaged in the January 6, 2021 insurrection from appearing on any future ballot.
Enacted in the wake of the Civil War, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment disqualifies from public office any individual who has taken an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and then engages in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or gives aid or comfort to those who have.
Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Lauren Boebert of Colorado, Mo Brooks of Alabama, Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs of Arizona, Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina, and Louie Gohmert of Texas all must be banned.
