What happened on January 6th and what we need to do to stop it.

It’s been one year since the violent attack on our Capitol, and Republicans, like my opponents J.D. Vance and Josh Mandel, continue to stoke fear and cater to their far-right base with outrageous lies and extremist rhetoric.
Meanwhile, the GOP punishes any truth-tellers who come forward, and are replacing election officials across the country to try to continue to undermine our democracy.

What happened on January 6th was real. Our democracy was threatened with violence, and now a few politicians are preventing our government from taking action to prevent it from happening again.
Instead of taking action, Republicans, and Senators like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are prioritizing their own power over protecting our democracy. Transformative voting rights legislation has gone nowhere because they prefer obstruction, the filibuster, and enriching their donors, over preventing another January 6th.
This is why it’s not enough to just elect MORE Democrats. We need stronger Democrats who will stand forcefully on the side of people, not their careers.
