Today is a hard day.

A year ago, many in Georgia woke up celebrating the historic election of Senators Warnock and Ossoff.

Yet any sense of peace we could have hoped for was quickly taken from us when far-right extremists violently attempted to overturn the election and ransacked the U.S. Capitol -- actions that resulted in the death of multiple law enforcement officials.
