[1]Cori Bush
   John, we promised
   to never forget this day.
One year ago today, a violent mob of insurrectionists attacked the Capitol
in an attempt to discount our votes and overturn the 2020 election
   results.
Many have said that what transpired on January 6 was not America. They are
wrong. This is America, and it will continue to be America, until white
   supremacy is dismantled.
This is the America that Black people know. To declare that this is not
America is to deny the reality that Republican members of the U.S. House
and Senate incited this coup by treasonously working to overturn the
   results of the presidential election.
What happened one year ago was a vivid reminder of how much work is still
ahead of our country to address the forces of white supremacy in our
government and to make our democracy work for all of us. This day made it
clear to all of us that defeating Trump was only the first step in a long
   process to heal our country.
That starts with making sure endorsers of white supremacy aren’t allowed
to continue serving in our government. That’s why Cori has been fighting
since her first week in office to pass legislation that would remove each
and every representative who incited this insurrection from office.
It’s important we raise our voices today to demand accountability for this
shameful day. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name right now to co-sign Cori’s
resolution calling on Congress to investigate and expel the Republicans
who helped incite a deadly coup at the Capitol building on January 6,
   2021?

We will never forget what happened on January 6, 2021. And we will never
stop speaking out against the white supremacy that’s still prevalent in
   our country.
It’s painful to look back on this disgraceful day in our country’s history
   — but we made a promise to hold every Republican accountable for their
actions and to never stop pushing back against the hatred and division
   they sowed in our democracy.
It was only Cori’s first week in office when this attack happened. But she
jumped into action immediately to introduce her first-ever piece of
legislation calling for the expulsion of Republican insurrectionists from
   office.
Hundreds of thousands of you have already co-signed Cori’s resolution —
and this widespread support is why we’ve built the momentum to propel this
investigation forward until justice is served.
It’s critical we show the urgency of our movement especially today as we
remember this day in history. [ [link removed] ]Add your name right now to support Cori’s
resolution to investigate and expel the members of Congress who helped
incite the deadly insurrection on our Capitol.
   In solidarity,
   Team Cori
